Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), made a heartfelt appeal on Thursday to both the central government and protesters to work together towards a peaceful resolution regarding the ongoing demonstrations at Jantar Mantar led by the Cockroach People's Party (CJP) concerning the NEET paper leak. In a post on X, she highlighted how the indefinite protests near Parliament have brought to light the severe impact of the paper leak and other irregularities on students and their families.
She noted that the protests, which have been ongoing for several days, are shedding light on the serious consequences faced by students and their families due to issues like paper leaks in major examinations such as NEET. Mayawati emphasized that the unrest has escalated from the streets to Parliament, leading to a direct confrontation with the government.
According to her, the protests have created significant turmoil, and the subsequent political maneuvering has intensified the conflict with the government, marking a critical situation that needs resolution. This unrest is not only affecting daily life in Delhi but also in various states across the country. Furthermore, she pointed out that the controversial issue of donations being stolen at the Ayodhya Ram Temple and the paper leak problems in national and state-level examinations are manifestations of rampant corruption at all levels.
Mayawati also linked these issues to constitutional morality, stating that the lack of it allows corruption to erode the nation like termites. She reminded that the founding father of the Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasized the importance of good governance, which is being undermined by these corrupt practices.
