FIFA has announced the official FIFA World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament following the conclusion of the event, with newly crowned champions Spain dominating the lineup with three players included in the starting XI.
The selected team is arranged in a 4-3-3 formation and includes players from seven different nations, celebrating the top performers throughout the tournament hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
Spain’s remarkable title-winning run is reflected in the inclusion of defenders Marc Cucurella and Pedro Porro, along with midfield general Rodri, whose influence proved crucial in La Roja’s successful campaign.
Argentina, the runners-up, have two players named in the team, with captain Lionel Messi featuring in the attack after yet another exceptional World Cup, and defender Lisandro Martínez also earning a place for his consistent performances.
France are represented by three players as well — Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise, and centre-back Dayot Upamecano — while England’s Jude Bellingham receives recognition for his commanding displays in midfield.
Norway’s prolific striker Erling Haaland leads the line as the central forward following his outstanding goalscoring exploits, and Cape Verde’s goalkeeper Vozinha rounds off the XI after producing one of the standout stories of the tournament with a string of brilliant performances between the posts.
