The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the official schedule of the final match of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27. This time the title match will be played next year i.e. between June 9 and June 13 at the famous ‘The Oval’ ground in London. The special thing is that earlier the final of the current cycle was scheduled to be held at Lord’s, which has now been changed to The Oval. Earlier in the year 2023 also, The Oval had hosted the WTC final, where Australia defeated India.

All 9 teams in the race in the points table

Talking about the WTC Points Table 2025-27, currently all 9 teams are in the race for the finals.

• Australia Ranked first in the marks table with 87.50 percent marks.
• South Africa (75%) others and New Zealand (72.22%) is at third position.
• The Indian team is at number 5 with 48.15% points with 4 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw in 9 matches.
• Apart from this, Bangladesh is at fourth, Sri Lanka at sixth, England at seventh, West Indies at eighth and Pakistan at ninth.

Let us tell you that the Indian team has played the WTC finals twice so far (2021 and 2023), but on both the occasions it has faced title defeat. Now it remains to be seen which two teams will come face to face in this great match of 2027.
