Veteran actor Piyush Mishra has sustained a hand fracture after reportedly slipping in the washroom at his residence. Following the accident, doctors have advised him to take complete bed rest, forcing him to stay away from the promotional campaign of his upcoming film, ' Dulhania Le Aayegi '. The actor was scheduled to attend promotional events for the film alongside director Akashaditya Lama and actor Khushali Kumar but had to withdraw due to the injury.
Director shares update on the Piyush Mishra's healthSpeaking to Dainik Bhaskar about Mishra's absence from the promotions, Akashaditya Lama revealed that he had been informed of the incident by the actor's manager. He said, "Piyush ji’s manager called me last night. He informed me that Piyush ji had fallen in the bathroom and had suffered a fracture in his hand. Because of this, he will not be able to participate in the film’s promotions and interviews." The filmmaker added that the veteran actor is currently recovering at home while following medical advice.

He said, "Every wedding has drama, but in 'Dulhania Le Aayegi', this drama starts even before the vows. Our effort was that after watching the trailer, there should be a smile on the audience’s faces and, at the same time, curiosity in their minds to know what will happen next."
He further added, "This is a fast-paced, fun, emotional film filled with characters that the audience will easily connect with. It is a complete family entertainer, and I hope the audience enjoys watching it as much as we enjoyed making it."
