New Delhi:Amidst the ongoing protests across the country on the issue of paper leak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big message while addressing the students late at night. He clearly said that paper leak cannot be considered a normal incident under any circumstances, because it directly impacts lakhs of students and their families. The Prime Minister indicated that even bigger and stricter action will be taken in this matter.

Prime Minister Modi shared a video message on social media platform X. He said that an important proposal will be discussed in the Union Cabinet on Friday to further strengthen the action against paper leaks. This proposal includes provisions to speedy trial of cases and strict action against the culprits.

‘Lakhs of students face problems due to paper leak’

Addressing the students, Prime Minister Modi said that ‘Friends’ paper leak is not a trivial topic. It is very painful for lakhs of students and their parents. He further said that after the paper leak incidents, the government has taken several steps in the last two and a half months. Taking strict action against the culprits, they have been caught and sent to jail.

PM Modi further said that the biggest challenge before the government was that one year of students should not be wasted due to paper leak. Therefore, the government made arrangements to re-conduct the examinations of about 22 lakh students in the shortest possible time. Prime Minister Modi further said that after completing the examination process quickly, the results were also released on the 19th and happy reports of successful students have come out from across the country.

Instructions to make fast track court

PM Modi said that ‘the government is not going to be satisfied with this. Therefore, today instructions were given to the concerned departments to form a fast track court in this case. After which the departments prepared the draft and submitted it to PM Modi. In this proposal, apart from fast track court, provision of strict punishment has also been made for those involved in paper leak and crimes.

According to the Prime Minister, this draft will be discussed in the cabinet meeting on Friday. The proposal will be finalized after the suggestions of the ministers. After this, the government will try to present the necessary bill in this regard in the Parliament as soon as possible and get it passed. Prime Minister Modi said that the proceedings of the second week of Parliament are going to start from Monday. The government will try to bring the proposed law against paper leaks in the House as soon as possible.

Big administrative change in higher education department also

Meanwhile, the Central Government has also made changes in the post of Secretary of Higher Education Department. Senior IAS officer Vineet Joshi has been removed from the post of Secretary of Higher Education Department and appointed as Secretary of Panchayati Raj Ministry. Meanwhile, Naresh Pal Gangwar has been made the new Secretary of Higher Education Department.
