Additionally, 18 central university hostels are available to students. Due to limited capacity, only eligible students secure hostel accommodation.

Merely securing admission to the university is not enough to get a hostel seat at DU. After gaining admission to a specific college or department, students must apply separately for hostel accommodation. Each college has its own set of rules, eligibility criteria, fee structures, and application procedures. In most colleges, hostel allotment is based on merit, reservation policies, and university-mandated guidelines.
**Document Verification for Shortlisted Students**
Following the application stage, the documents of shortlisted students undergo verification. Some hostels also conduct an interview as part of the selection process. Therefore, students should apply on time and keep all necessary documents ready to ensure a smooth hostel allotment process.
