Anti-national forces behind CJP's protest: Indresh Kumar

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [भारत]July 24 (ANI): Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar on Friday alleged that forces at home and abroad were behind the protests being led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), and claimed that they do not want India to become a "developed, strong and educated nation".

Talking about the ongoing protests over the NEET issue, Kumar said the opposition parties had initially raised the issue of the exam, but later they "went astray" and started doing their own politics. Kumar told ANI, "The situation is such that attempts are being made to ruin the era of positive politics within the country. The opposition parties took the name of NEET, but they went astray and started doing their own politics."

'Want to destroy India'

He alleged that forces in India and globally were working against the country's development. He said, "I would like to tell the youth coming there that one thing must be clear by now: behind these protests are those forces in the country and the world who do not want India to become a developed, strong and educated nation. Instead, they want to destroy India."

Kumar urged the youth participating in the protests to adopt "positive values" and contribute to the country's progress, saying India is emerging as a role model for the world through its development and startup ecosystem. He said, "Today, through thousands and lakhs of startups, India is emerging as a role model for the entire world. Everyone should support the government in creating this role model. Play your role freely and positively so that the coming generations learn how - when global powers were trying to break India's development, education, prosperity, happiness, peace and harmony - it was the people and it was the youth who played their role."

The RSS leader further said, "If you cannot do something good, at least do not destroy it. If you cannot see others doing good, do not try to destroy it. This is unfortunate and should not be done."

CJP adamant on demanding resignation of Education Minister

Kumar also called upon the youth to take inspiration from freedom fighters and national leaders including Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, VD Savarkar, Banerjee and Syama Prasad Mukherjee and work towards building the country. His comments come amid continuous protests by opposition parties and CJP in Parliament and at Jantar Mantar over the NEET issue and demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. CJP has said that its protest at Jantar Mantar will continue until Pradhan resigns. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike has ended following assurances from the government, but its main demand of the education minister's resignation remains unchanged, its representative Ashutosh Ranka said on Friday.

Meanwhile, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said the government's decision to conduct day-to-day hearings in paper leak cases through specially designated fast-track courts will ensure speedy trials and timely justice for the youth. Earlier, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav criticized the opposition for taking an "aggressive stance" on the NEET issue and urged them to hold talks in Parliament instead of indulging in "unnecessary politics".
