The Cockroach People's Party (CJP) has initiated a call for peaceful protests across the nation, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in light of the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy. On Thursday, the CJP shared a poster on X, urging citizens to join in these demonstrations. The party has also encouraged student organizations and other groups to collaborate in this effort. Meanwhile, sources indicate that a CJP delegation may meet with central government ministers today at 12:30 PM. According to CJP spokesperson Sourav Das, the meeting is set to take place at the Constitution Club of India. This will mark the first direct interaction between CJP representatives and the Modi government since the party began its ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar a month ago.

The CJP has submitted a memorandum outlining three primary demands: the resignation of Minister Pradhan, the release of activist Sonam Wangchuk, and a compensation of ₹1 crore for the families of students who have died while preparing for NEET. Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike for 26 days, concluded his fast late Thursday night in the presence of JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.

Abhijit Dipke, the founding president of CJP, stated that the protests at Jantar Mantar will persist until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak issue. Expressing relief over Sonam Wangchuk ending his 26-day hunger strike, Dipke emphasized that Wangchuk's life is "too precious for the country." Ahead of the meeting with central ministers later today, he mentioned that discussions would take place in a neutral location but reiterated that "nothing less than Pradhan's resignation will be accepted."
