Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke has claimed that some members of his team may be arrested on Friday evening. Expressing this apprehension through social media, he has appealed to his supporters to continue the movement peacefully in any situation. Abhijeet Deepke said that even if any action is taken against his team, the supporters should express their views peacefully while maintaining law and order. However, there has been no official response from the police or administration yet on this claim made by him.

Abhijeet Deepke has claimed that some members of his team may be arrested on Friday night. Regarding this apprehension, he raised questions with the Central Government and said that his movement is completely peaceful. Abhijeet Deepke said, “I have just received input that perhaps the Cockroach Janata Party team may be arrested tonight. I want to tell the government why the arrest? We are sitting here peacefully and today it has been 35 days of our movement. I do not think there would have been a more peaceful protest than this in the history of independent India.” He further said, “We are people following the path of Mahatma Gandhi. We want to follow the path of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. We are people who follow the path of the Constitution. What problem do you have with the Constitution of India that you want to arrest us?

Expressing fear of possible arrest, Abhijit Deepke has warned the government not to take action against people associated with the movement. He claimed that any such action could lead to further expansion of the movement. Abhijit Deepke said, “I want to tell the government not to make this mistake. Do not try to arrest us. If this happens, the movement will become bigger.” He also alleged in his statement that the agitation intensified after first the forced removal of social activist Sonam Wangchuk and later the alleged police action against the protesters. Deepke alleged that the police misbehaved with some girl students and used force during the protest. According to him, after these incidents the movement got more support across the country.

Abhijeet Deepke told the future strategy

Deepke said, “I request all of you that if our team is arrested tonight, it is your responsibility to take this movement forward in a peaceful manner. I have full faith in you people. You are law abiding people and will not do anything that will harm the country.” He further said that if his team is arrested, the supporters should carry forward the movement across the country, but maintain non-violence and peace in all situations. Deepke said that any kind of violence or illegal activity would be against the principles of the movement. He said, “If our team is arrested, the movement has to be taken to every corner of the country, but in a completely peaceful manner. Those who will commit violence or do wrong things cannot be supporters of the cockroach Janata Party. Whatever we have to do, we have to do it in a peaceful manner, respecting the Constitution and the law.”

CJP adamant on demand for resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan

Abhijeet Deepke said, “Our protest at Jantar Mantar will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.” She also reacted to Sonam Wangchuk ending her fast and said that she was relieved that Wangchuk ended her hunger strike as it had been more than 26 days. He said that Sonam Wangchuk’s life is very important for the country. Regarding the proposed meeting with the representatives of the Central Government, Deepke said that the talks will be held at a neutral place. He made it clear that apart from demanding the resignation of the Education Minister, no other proposal will be accepted.
