Punjab government has taken a major decision to ensure transparency and honesty in the health care sector of Jalandhar Sarvodaya Hospital has been expelled from the panel of ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana’ (MMSY). The action against the hospital comes after complaints of alleged irregularities, illegal recovery and fraud were found to be true. Now this hospital will not be able to provide free and cashless treatment to patients under this scheme.

State Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh Sharing the details of the action, he said that serious violations of rules were revealed during the investigation conducted on the basis of complaints.

14 hospitals heavily fined; Money returned to patients’ families
