'Ohh My Dog' gets U/A certificate after seven CBFC changes, brand names muted, Hanuman photo blurred, and child labour disclaimer added

Amit Rai 's upcoming directorial 'Ohh My Dog' has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Before granting approval, the board recommended seven modifications, including muted brand references, blurred visuals and the addition of disclaimers. Unlike his experience with 'OMG 2', Rai said the certification process for his latest film was smooth and the suggested changes were practical.
Seven changes suggested by the CBFC for 'Ohh My Dog'According to Variety India, the CBFC asked the makers to make a handful of alterations before the film's release. Among them were muting mentions of brands such as "Truecaller" and "Dettol," along with a swear word. The board also shortened a scene involving a dog by two seconds and blurred a photo frame depicting Lord Hanuman in one sequence.
Additionally, the filmmakers have been directed to include two disclaimers, one related to child labour, which forms part of the story, and another concerning human trafficking.
Amit Rai welcomes the decisionSharing his reaction to the certification, Amit Rai said he was pleased with the board's approach this time and had no issues implementing the recommended changes. He said, "I am supremely happy. They have given me cuts that are feasible."
A different experience from 'OMG 2'The certification process for 'Ohh My Dog' stands in sharp contrast to Rai's previous film, 'OMG 2'. That film underwent a prolonged review before receiving an A certificate along with nearly 85 modifications, a decision that prevented its younger target audience from watching it in theatres. This time, the filmmaker appears satisfied with the board's recommendations and the overall process.
