The Central Government has approved this new scheme to strengthen the work of chemical manufacturing in the country and to make the country self-reliant. Under which, three big and modern chemical parks will be built in the country at a total cost of Rs 3,030 crore. This scheme has got the green signal in the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So that the business and factories of the country can progress rapidly and people can get new employment on a large scale.

This scheme was announced in the Union Budget for the year 2026-27. The government has fixed a total budget of Rs 3,030 crore for this entire scheme. Out of this, Rs 3,000 crore will be spent on creating necessary facilities and infrastructure inside the parks. The remaining Rs 30 crore will be spent on the office work and maintenance of this scheme. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that this Rs 3,030 crore of the government is only for common facilities. The total cost of building these three parks will be much more than this. An investment of around Rs 20,000 crore to Rs 50,000 crore is expected on each park, which will give a huge boost to the economy of the entire country.

For how many years will the scheme run?

This entire scheme will be completed as per the stipulated time. This scheme will be started from the current year and it will be run for a total of five years i.e. till the year 2030-31. Within this stipulated time, all the work of constructing the three parks will be completed.

Where and how will the parks be built?

To build these big chemical parks, the government has made some special rules regarding land. These three chemical parks will be developed through the challenge route in collaboration with the state governments. According to the rules, every park should have at least 8 kilometers of land i.e. at least 2,000 acres of contiguous land at one place. This land should be completely clear of any kind of dispute or legal trouble. State governments can create these parks as per their choice, either at a completely new location or as an extension of an already existing industrial area.

Both the central government and the state government will work together to create these parks. A maximum assistance of Rs 1,000 crore will be provided by the Central Government to build each park. To get this help, the government of the state where the park will be built will have to contribute at least Rs 500 crore.

Facilities available in parks

In these parks, companies will get all the necessary facilities like water, electricity, garbage treatment plants, pipeline network and transport ready for immediate use. The chemical sector is an essential part of our economy, it provides raw materials to many other industries. This scheme will advance the entire scope of chemical industry. This scheme will benefit agriculture, textile industry, pharmaceutical companies, house building materials, automobile industries and electronic goods manufacturing sectors. Since all the facilities in these parks are at one place, the entire work can be carried out safely.

According to the government, the country will get many benefits from this scheme. Huge investment will come from inside and outside the country. This will increase the capacity to make chemicals in India. When factories and new industries are set up in the country, employment opportunities will open. With all these changes, India will emerge as a strong country in the global market and the dream of self-reliant India will be strengthened.
