Knews Desk- Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) president Tej Pratap Yadav has been sent to 14-day judicial custody after he was arrested for his participation in the protest during the Bihar bandh. After appearing in the court late on Saturday night, he was ordered to be sent to jail. Tej Pratap had participated in the protest at Ram Ghulam Chowk in Patna in support of Bihar Bandh organized in protest against the NEET paper leak case and police action against students.
At the time of arrest, the police took him into custody and took him away in the vehicle. During this, Tej Pratap Yadav said that he stands strongly with the students’ movement and is ready to go to every level to fight for their rights. He also supported the demand of the protesting students for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Protests were seen in different parts of the state during Bihar Bandh. According to the police, leftist student organizations and other protesters took to the streets to protest against the NEET paper leak and police action against students. Clashes and incidents of stone pelting were reported between protesters and police at some places in Patna. Whereas in districts like Nalanda, Nawada, Jehanabad and Rohtas, the impact of the bandh was relatively limited.
Abhijeet Dipke was appealed to come to Bihar
Earlier, through social media, Tej Pratap Yadav had appealed to Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leader Abhijit Dipke to come to Bihar and join the movement against the state government. This appeal came at a time when CJP had ended its agitation in Delhi over the NEET paper leak issue.
It is noteworthy that after separating from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Tej Pratap Yadav started his new political party. Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) Has been formed. Now, after his arrest during Bihar Bandh and being sent to judicial custody, this matter has become a topic of discussion in the politics of the state.
