CLAT Exam 2026: Common Law Admission Test to be held across the country on December 6, notification issued

A very important news has come to light for the youth seeking admission in the reputed National Law Universities of the country. The dates of Common Law Admission Test i.e. CLAT have been announced for the students who want to pursue a career in the field of legal education. This important exam will be held simultaneously across the country on December 6. There is already an atmosphere of excitement and preparation among students and parents for the exam, as the test provides a golden opportunity to gain entry into the top law colleges of the country.

Application Procedure and Exam Duration Announced

To participate in this national level entrance exam students have to apply online within the stipulated time frame. As per the official notification, eligible and willing students can apply online from 3rd August 2026 to 31st October 2026. While the mains exam will be held on 6 December 2026 between 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The structure and pattern of examination for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) core courses have been kept unchanged, so that students can prepare easily.

Seats available in colleges across the country including Gujarat

As the importance of legal studies is increasing across the country, the scope of this exam is also very large. Admission will be given through this exam in more than 60 law colleges across the country including Gujarat. Together, students will get admission in more than 5,500 seats in all these colleges. There is every possibility to witness heavy competition for these seats under National Law Universities this year as well, so students should finalize their preparations now.
