According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are prepared to hand Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior the biggest contract in the history of the Emirates Stadium club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants the 26-year-old at the North London club, and the Gunners are ready to break the bank in order to sign him.

Vinicius currently earns £400,000 per week at Madrid, and the Premier League champions are willing to improve those terms to tempt him to the Emirates.

The Brazilian is one of the best attackers in the world, and bringing him in would be a major statement of intent from Arsenal.

They have already discussed the figures that it could take to secure his signing, and finance will not stand in the way of their plans.

Vinicius finished last season with 22 goals and 14 assists in 53 games across all competitions, and he has the quality to strengthen the Gunners’ attack.

He has only one year left on his Madrid contract, and talks over a renewal have not been successful so far.

The Arsenal target scored four goals and added one assist in five appearances at the World Cup, and he was among the best players at the tournament.

He has scored 128 goals and provided 100 assists in 375 games for Madrid, and the Gunners could certainly use a player of that calibre in the final third.

They are desperate to win the Champions League next season and also retain the league title.

Signing Vinicius could completely change things for the Gunners, and supporters will be thrilled by such a move given the quality he would bring.
