'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has officially received a UA 13+ rating from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India, paving the way for its theatrical release. This certification, granted on July 23, indicates that the film has a total runtime of 144 minutes and 52 seconds, which translates to 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 52 seconds. Children under 13 can watch the film, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

The CBFC's approval came with certain stipulations. The English-language 3D version, which includes English subtitles, was only cleared after specific modifications were made. The board required the inclusion of a statutory anti-liquor disclaimer and mandated the removal of inappropriate language from both the audio and subtitles at three different points in the film. Additionally, two kissing scenes, occurring around the 44 and 57-minute marks, were ordered to be completely cut.

Despite these alterations, the film's overall runtime remains intact at 144 minutes and 52 seconds. The visual edits total just eight seconds, and the muted dialogue does not impact the overall duration. This meticulous editing ensures that the film complies with CBFC guidelines while preserving its narrative flow.

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' marks the 38th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is the fourth film in the Spider-Man series within this franchise.
