The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced recruitment for the posts of Principal and Vice Principal. This recruitment is for the Education Department of the Delhi Government (NCT). According to the recruitment notification, 124 posts of Principal and 704 posts of Vice Principal are to be filled, making a total of 828 vacancies to be filled through direct recruitment. As per the notification issued by UPSC, the online application process began on July 25, 2026, and will continue until August 14, 2026. Interested candidates who meet the prescribed educational qualifications, experience, and age criteria can fill out the form by visiting the UPSC's official Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.

**Qualifications for Principal Recruitment**
Must hold a Master's degree from a recognized university or institution.
Must possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
10 years of teaching experience as a Vice Principal, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), or Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in a recognized school.
Age Limit: 50 years (UR/EWS), 53 years (OBC), 55 years (SC/ST); with relaxations for eligible PwBD candidates.

**Qualifications for Vice Principal Recruitment**
Must hold a Master's degree from a recognized university or institution.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
Two years of experience as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) or three years of experience as a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT).
Age Limit: 35 years (UR/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST); with applicable relaxations for PwBD candidates.
A Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) will be conducted on November 1, 2026, to shortlist candidates.
