Amieyra Khoslla, a 15-year-old speed climbing prodigy from India, made headlines at the IFSC World Youth Climbing Championships 2026 held in Arco, Italy. She achieved a remarkable time of 7.60 seconds, securing the 6th position globally and establishing a new Indian National Youth Record in Speed Climbing.

During the qualification round, she had already surpassed her personal best with a time of 7.74 seconds, only to improve it again in the finals. This remarkable feat showcases her exceptional talent and marks a significant milestone for Indian sport climbing on the international stage.

Albert Ok, a renowned Olympic speed climbing coach, praised Amieyra's rapid advancement, stating, "Her progress in just a few weeks is extraordinary. To see a young athlete excel on a global platform speaks volumes about her talent and dedication. With continued support and training, she has the potential to inspire future generations of Indian climbers."

Her personal coach, Abhishek Mehta, expressed pride in her achievements, emphasizing the hard work and commitment that led to her success. He stated, "This performance is just the beginning. Amieyra has the mindset and determination to become one of India's top speed climbers. We are focused on breaking records and proving our competitiveness on the world stage."

The Indian team, which included Amieyra Khoslla, Shlok Dadukar, Neil Warke, and Rudra Karandikar, showcased their skills against the world's elite young climbers, highlighting the potential of Indian athletes in this sport.

Amieyra shared her thoughts on her achievement, stating, "Representing India at the World Youth Championships is a proud moment for me. Setting a new national record and finishing sixth is a dream realized. This motivates me to strive for even greater heights in my career."

She expressed gratitude towards her coaches and family for their unwavering support, hoping her success would inspire more young Indians to pursue sport climbing and gain recognition for the discipline.

In addition to her climbing prowess, Amieyra is also a talented sprinter. She earned a Silver Medal in the 100 meters at the SGFI National School Games 2024, placed 5th in the Junior National Athletics Championships 2025 in the 60 meters, and has consistently been the Delhi State Champion in the 60 meters for three consecutive years (2024, 2025, and 2026).
