Actor Sunil Anand, son of Hindi film legend Dev Anand, died of a heart attack in London on Monday morning. Interestingly, Dev Anand also breathed his last in the same London hospital in 2011. Due to this, a mountain of grief has once again fallen on the Anand family, and mourning has spread in Bollywood.

Famous writer Anita Padda confirmed the news of Sunil Anand’s death. He told a news channel that Sunil died of a heart attack on Monday morning. After the death of Dev Anand, he settled in London. Anita Padda has also written a book A Convergence of Solitudes on the life of Sunil Anand.

Sunil Anand studied Business Administration from American University, Washington DC, USA. After completing his education, he followed his father’s footsteps and entered the film industry. He made his acting debut in the movie Anand Aur Anand which was released in 1984. The film featured veteran actors like Rakhi, Smita Patil and Biswajit Chatterjee. However, the film did not get the expected success.

After this, Sunil Anand acted in films like Car Thief, Main Tere Liye and Master. However, he could not achieve the popularity and commercial success of his father Dev Anand. Although his acting career did not take off as expected, he maintained his association with the film industry.
