Day 5: Chennai Love Story Races Towards Kiran Abbavaram’s Biggest Hit

The recently released Telugu film Chennai Love Story has emerged as a surprise success at the box office.
On Day 5, the film collected ₹2.80 crore net across 1,801 shows. This represents a 15.2 per cent drop from Monday’s net collection of ₹3.30 crore.
With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached ₹23.30 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹26.73 crore.
Overseas, Chennai Love Story earned ₹0.50 crore on Day 5, taking its total international gross to ₹6 crore.
The film’s worldwide gross collection now stands at ₹32.73 crore.
Chennai Love Story has already become Kiran Abbavaram’s second-highest-grossing film and is now on track to claim the top spot.
At present, KA remains his biggest grosser, with a lifetime India net collection of ₹26.94 crore. With Chennai Love Story already reaching ₹23.30 crore in just five days, it is expected to surpass KA soon and become the highest-grossing film of Kiran Abbavaram’s career.
Directed by Ravi Namburi, the film is produced by Srinivasa Kumar and Sai Rajesh under the Mass Movie Makers and Amrutha Productions banners. Mani Sharma has composed the music.
