The recent surgeries undergone by Nandamuri Balakrishna and Ram Charan have forced changes to the schedules of their upcoming films. Balakrishna suffered a knee injury while shooting for NBK111. He recently underwent successful surgery and has been advised to take complete rest for around six weeks. Although the actor is said to be recovering well and has regained his usual energy, doctors have reportedly advised him not to rush back to work. Considering his age, they want him to take a cautious approach to rehabilitation before returning to the sets. As a result, NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni, has now been pushed to an early 2027 release. The makers have reportedly dropped both the planned December 2026 release and the Sankranthi 2027 target, deciding to resume production only after Balakrishna fully recovers. Ram Charan, meanwhile, recently underwent complex wrist surgery at a hospital in Coimbatore. A renowned hand surgeon from the United States reportedly joined the medical team for the procedure. The actor is recovering well, but rehabilitation of the wrist is expected to take time. Doctors have advised him to avoid work for at least two to three months to ensure complete healing. The surgery has also affected the schedule of Ram Charan’s next film with Sukumar. The project’s muhurtham, which was tentatively planned for September 2026, has now been postponed. With the actor expected to resume work only after making a full recovery, the film’s launch has been pushed to 2027.
