Promotions are awarded based on performance and a safe service record. Subsequently, specialized training on Vande Bharat's modern technology is provided. Only then is a loco pilot entrusted with the responsibility of operating the Vande Bharat.

What is the salary?

The recruitment process for Vande Bharat loco pilots involves various levels, and the salary is determined accordingly. Recruitment begins at the ALP level, with an initial basic salary of ₹19,900. Including allowances, the in-hand monthly salary can range from approximately ₹35,000 to ₹40,000. However, experienced loco pilots operating premium trains like the Vande Bharat can earn a monthly salary of ₹1 lakh or more, inclusive of allowances. This depends on factors such as seniority, duty hours, and running allowances.
