TVS Raider 125— The demand for 125cc segment is continuously increasing in the Indian two-wheeler market. TVS Motor Company’s sporty commuter bike Raider 125 has set a new sales record. More than 19 lakh units of this bike, which entered the Indian market in September 2021, have been sold so far. The share of this model alone in the company’s total motorcycle sales has reached almost one-third.

Variants and ex-showroom prices

TVS Raider 125 is available in a total of 7 different variants. In this, customers get Drum, Single Seat, Split Seat, iGO, SSE (Super Squad Edition), SXC DD and top-end TFT DD options. The starting ex-showroom price of the drum variant is Rs 83,410, while the price of the top model TFT DD goes up to Rs 99,620 (Delhi).

  • Raider iGO/SSE: ₹93,000 – ₹94,000

Mathematics of Engine, Power and Performance

This bike has a 124.8cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine generates maximum power of 11.2 hp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 11.75 Nm at 6,000 rpm. However, in the base drum and single seat variants without iGO assist, the torque is limited to 11.2 Nm. The bike has a 5-speed gearbox and it accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.8 to 6.2 seconds.

What is special about smart features and everyday use?

The lower variants of the Raider 125 get a reverse LCD cluster, while the top-end TFT DD variant gets a 5-inch color TFT screen. It has features like voice assist, call and message notifications and on-console turn-by-turn navigation. For ease of movement in traffic, the bike has been provided with ‘Glide Through Technology’ (GTT), which helps the bike to move at low speed without throttle. For braking safety, the SXC DD and TFT DD models get single-channel ABS and disc brakes on both wheels.
