ISRO Recruitment 2026: There is good news for candidates aspiring to join the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and secure a government job. ISRO has issued a notification for recruitment to administrative and support roles. Online applications have been invited to fill 244 vacancies. The recruitment drive covers positions such as Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), and Stenographer. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications via the official website until August 16, 2026.

According to the notification issued by ISRO, eligible candidates will be selected for 113 Assistant posts, 81 Junior Personal Assistant posts, 22 Upper Division Clerk (UDC) posts, and 10 Stenographer posts. Additionally, there are vacancies for 17 Assistant posts and one Junior Personal Assistant post in other ISRO units.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale. The degree must have been completed within the university's prescribed duration. Candidates must be no older than 28 years of age as of August 16, 2026. Age relaxation will be granted in accordance with Government of India regulations.

Candidates belonging to the OBC category can apply up to the age of 31, while SC and ST candidates are eligible to apply up to the age of 33. Age relaxations are also available for eligible government employees, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, meritorious sportspersons, widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated who have not remarried.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹100. However, all candidates are required to pay a processing fee of ₹500 at the time of submitting their online application. Payment can only be made via the Bharatkosh e-payment gateway; the payment link will become active after the application form is filled out.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be selected through a written examination conducted at 38 centers across the country. The examination will consist of a single objective-type paper and will have a duration of 150 minutes. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be shortlisted for a skill test. ISRO will shortlist candidates in a ratio of up to 1:5 against the notified vacancies in each category. Wherever applicable, a minimum of 10 candidates will be called for the skill test.
