In a recent report, The i Paper stated that Manchester United have identified Dusan Vlahovic as a target for the summer transfer window. It is understood that the Red Devils are considering a move to bring the Serbian striker to Old Trafford on a free transfer during this off-season.

Vlahovic had a solid campaign with Juventus recently, producing a series of impressive performances in the attacking third. The 26-year-old scored ten goals and registered two assists in 23 appearances for the Turin club last season across all competitions.

The Serbian forward is currently regarded as one of the more experienced attackers in Europe and is available as a free agent. As such, Manchester United would do well to try and secure his signature this summer.

Vlahovic was a useful contributor in Serie A last season. However, only time will tell whether he can adjust to the intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils succeed in bringing him in during this transfer window.

Vlahovic is good at creating a bit of space for himself to get shots away at goal. He can go on scoring runs in the final third and is also capable of contributing with the occasional assist for his side.

At 1.90m, the Serbian striker is a commanding presence in the air as well. However, it is still unclear whether he would be able to make a seamless switch to life in the Premier League if Manchester United decide to sign him on a free transfer this off-season.

One can expect Vlahovic to add greater firepower to Michael Carrick’s attack. He has the experience and the attributes needed to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams over the coming years.

At 26, Vlahovic is approaching his prime, which makes him a strong option for the Red Devils to pursue in this transfer window. He would also strengthen Manchester United’s ability to compete on all fronts in the future. Therefore, Carrick should look to do everything possible to bring Vlahovic to Old Trafford on a free transfer this summer.
