Toyota Fortuner New Generation: Known for its strong hold and dominance in the Indian automobile market, the Toyota Fortuner is preparing to launch in a new and high-tech avatar very soon. A Larger 12.3-inch Infotainment System and Digital Cluster

The cabin and interior of the new Fortuner will be completely redesigned. A larger, more advanced 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen is expected to replace the old 8-inch display. Additionally, a completely new and larger digital instrument cluster will be provided for the driver. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support is expected to be standard.

In-built 360-degree HD Camera

Until now, the Fortuner’s 360-degree camera was available as an accessory. However, the new generation model will include it as a factory-fitted (in-built) feature in the top-end variants. This feature will make parking such a large SUV much easier in tight streets and difficult parking spaces.

High-Tech ADAS Safety Suite

The biggest safety update in the new Fortuner will be the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Radar sensors spotted on the test model indicate that the new SUV will feature advanced safety features like lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. The addition of this safety technology may slightly increase the price of the vehicle.

Ventilated Seats in More Variants

Ventilated front seats are a useful feature for Indian climates. Currently, this feature was limited to a limited number of variants, but Toyota is now planning to offer it in other mid- and top-spec variants of the SUV, including the mild-hybrid.

First Experience of the Panoramic Sunroof

The most awaited feature for Fortuner enthusiasts is the sunroof. Almost all rival vehicles in the segment come with panoramic sunroofs. In such a scenario, Toyota may introduce a large panoramic sunroof in its flagship SUV for the first time, giving its cabin a premium and airy feel.

Increased challenge for rivals

With these advanced features and new technology, the Toyota Fortuner will not only be a step ahead in terms of safety and comfort, but will also provide a tough competition to premium SUVs in the segment like the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian.
