Automobile Desk: The country’s leading automobile manufacturer Bajaj Auto is once again all set to create a stir in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company is going to introduce a new model of its most popular and favorite range ‘Pulsar’ in the Indian market on 12 August 2026. However, the exact name or specifications of this new model have not been officially revealed by Bajaj yet. According to the discussions going on in the automobile world and media reports, this new bike could be the new Pulsar N160. On the other hand, there is also strong speculation that the company may surprise the customers by launching the next-generation Pulsar in the 125cc or 150cc segment.

This move by Bajaj Auto is believed to be part of its strategy to further strengthen its foothold in the Indian market. Recently, during the announcement of its financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of FY2027, the Pune-based leading two-wheeler brand shared its future plans. The company clarified that it is preparing to launch a large fleet of 10 new motorcycles in the domestic market within the coming few weeks. This new lineup will primarily focus on bikes with 125cc and 150cc capacities. The recent teaser released by the company also indicates that the motorcycles to be unveiled on August 12th could be part of one of these two main categories.

In terms of design, the new Pulsar is being given a very aggressive and modern look. Recent spy shots of the motorcycle spotted testing on the roads have revealed several key design elements. The new bike features updated and sharper body panels, along with a more muscular fuel tank. Furthermore, a larger front cowl and attractive tank extensions have been added to enhance the front look. Keeping in mind the comfort of both rider and pillion, it has been provided with a long and comfortable single seat. To enhance its sporty appeal, it will also feature new alloy wheels and a side-slung exhaust.

This new motorcycle is also expected to be quite modern in terms of technology and features. The next-generation Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 models are expected to incorporate several digital features to enhance the riding experience. A new fully-digital instrument cluster is expected, equipped with Bluetooth connectivity technology. This will allow riders to take advantage of essential features like call alerts, message notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation directly on their bike’s display, making it convenient for both long-distance and daily city driving.

As for the bike’s mechanicals and engine setup, it’s likely that the company will retain the existing reliable engine structure. The currently available Pulsar 125 features a 124.38 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This engine produces 11.8 PS of maximum power and 10.8 Nm of peak torque. The Pulsar 150, on the other hand, features a 149.5 cc single-cylinder, 2V, air-cooled engine that produces 14 PS of power and 13.4 Nm of torque. Both engines come with an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system and a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox, offering a balance between excellent fuel economy and robust performance.
