Tesla Model Y Electric Car: Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company Tesla has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature for its Model Y electric car in India. The company has included the Grok AI assistant in the Model Y. This feature is available to customers via an over-the-air (OTA) update and no additional fees will be charged.
Tesla has also begun test drives of the Model Y (Premium RWD) variant across its dealership network in India. With the introduction of Grok AI, the Tesla car experience will become smarter and easier than ever before.
Grok AI will be controlled by voice
The Grok AI assistant in the Tesla Model Y can be accessed via voice commands. Drivers can activate it by pressing the voice button on the steering wheel or by saying “Hey Grok.”
This AI assistant isn’t limited to English, but also supports several Indian languages. It offers conversations in languages like Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
Apart from this, users will also be able to customize the speaking style, language and conversation method of Grok AI as per their choice.
Special features of Grok AI in Tesla Model Y
Smart Navigation
Grok AI can provide better route suggestions based on user habits and schedules, and can even create multi-stop routes with voice commands.
You will get the necessary information immediately.
This AI can provide information about facilities like Tesla Superchargers, restaurants, cafes, hospitals, ATMs and restrooms along the route.
Will explain car warnings in simple language-
If any alert or warning appears on the car’s screen, Grok AI will help explain it in simple language.
Tesla Model Y Price in India
Currently, Tesla is selling its Model Y electric car in two variants in India.
Tesla Model Y Premium RWD: Priced at around ₹50.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a 5-seater electric car.
Tesla Model YL Premium AWD: Priced at around ₹61.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a 6-seater electric car.
In India, the Tesla Model Y competes with premium electric cars like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and BYD Sealion 7. With the addition of the Grok AI feature, Tesla aims to provide its customers in India with a more connected and smart driving experience.
