New Delhi. Range Rover has confirmed the imminent arrival of its second electric car, the Range Rover Sport Electric. Following the Range Rover Electric, which was showcased at several special events during the British summer, the Range Rover Sport will now come with an electric powertrain designed to deliver effortless performance.
Goodwood Festival of Speed
Over the weekend, the Range Rover Sport Electric was unveiled at a preview event at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. Recalling its impressive performance history, such as climbing the 999 steps of Heaven’s Gate in China and climbing the Spillway in Iceland, the Range Rover Sport Electric faced a series of driving challenges at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Use of modern technology
The Range Rover Sport Eletric features a host of advanced technologies that generate more power and torque. The experience is further enhanced with new chassis tubes and improved audio sound, delivering a truly unique driving experience on any terrain.
Powertrain line-up
The Range Rover Sport’s powertrain line-up will be completed with the addition of a fully electric model later this year. Customers will have a choice of plug-in electric hybrids, mild hybrid V8 petrols, and six-cylinder petrol-diesels to suit their needs.
The new Range Rover Sport Electric has been designed to deliver a driving experience reminiscent of the brand’s sportiest identity. Further details are expected to be revealed later this year.
