Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again said that she wants to strengthen the India alliance. On Tuesday, at the ‘Martyr’s Day’ program organized in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee said that she has no ego. Regarding the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee has said that if needed, she will also go there. Meanwhile, regarding the MLAs and MPs who rebelled against the party, Mamata Banerjee has said that now they will never return to the party.

Mamata Banerjee has indirectly appealed to the Left, not just the Congress, to come together and put aside their differences. She urges everyone to unite to defeat the BJP. At an event marking her party’s foundation day, Mamata Banerjee sharply targeted the BJP. She also criticized the leaders who rebelled against the party.

What did Mamata Banerjee say?

Putting the past behind her, Mamata Banerjee said, “I want everyone to unite under the banner of the India Alliance to fight the BJP in Bengal. I have no ego. I appeal to others to put aside their differences and fight together.” Although she didn’t mention the Congress or the CPM, it’s believed she was referring to everyone by naming the India Alliance. It’s worth noting that Mamata Banerjee first won power in Bengal by defeating the Left and establishing the Trinamool Congress after leaving the Congress. 

Regarding the ongoing protests in Delhi, Mamata Banerjee said, “I have supported them from the beginning. If needed, I will personally join the CJP protest in Delhi. My support for them will continue. You saw what happened in Delhi yesterday. The atrocities committed against the students. I heard that the Prime Minister fled the scene in his car.”

Regarding the leaders who rebelled against the TMC, Mamata Banerjee said, “They will never return. I challenge them to join the BJP. Go ahead, join the BJP. I have no problem; I will be happy if you join the BJP. I have plenty of people to fill their shoes. We have students, youth, and women to take their place.”
