Regarding the BJP’s defeat in the Bankipur and Datia by-elections, Akhilesh Yadav sarcastically said that the BJP probably wanted to see how many votes it would receive if it contested the elections without resorting to alleged “dishonesty.” He claimed that the public had responded to the BJP through their votes.

He said that the unity of the youth and the anger generated in their families were reflected in the election results.

He also took a jibe at the resignation of BJP leaders.
