Christian Norgaard has left Arsenal for Everton after spending just one season at the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder, who was not involved for the Gunners in their pre-season defeat to Real Betis on Wednesday night, moves on after only a year at Arsenal and departs as a Premier League winner.
"It feels amazing. I’m so, so happy and pleased to have joined Everton," the midfielder said.
"There were many factors behind it. I felt I needed a change and wanted to play a bigger role in football. When I spoke to David Moyes and others at the club who were involved in the transfer, I heard about the whole project and I was very intrigued.
"Coming here only makes that feeling even stronger.
"Also, from my past experience of playing against Everton, the whole atmosphere and the fans are something I am really looking forward to experiencing as an Everton player. It is a big, big honour for me, and it is something I will do my very best, not only on matchdays but generally, to remember how much it means for the people who support this club.
"It will be my mindset to represent the club in the best possible way.
"I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere as an Everton player. Goodison was amazing. I just remember the ground was shaking — literally shaking.
"Then we came to the new stadium last year and I was so surprised because you often see clubs lose that intimacy and atmosphere at a new stadium.
"But I was so overwhelmed by how good the atmosphere was there as well. So I can see that the soul from Goodison has been brought to the new stadium."
Arsenal have already acted to bring in a replacement for Norgaard, agreeing a £75million deal with Newcastle for Bruno Guimaraes on Wednesday morning.
The Brazil midfielder is expected to undergo a medical later this week before finalising his move to north London, with personal terms understood to have been agreed for some time.
