Awarapan 2 song:  The popular song “Tera Mera Rishta” from Emraan Hashmi’s acclaimed film “Awarapan” remains a favorite in audiences’ playlists. A new version of the song is featured in the trailer for “Awarapan 2,” which has doubled fans’ excitement.

Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid lent his voice to this 2007 song. Now, reports have emerged that Mustafa Zahid is in talks with the film’s sequel for a new version of the song. However, no official confirmation has yet been made by the producers or the singer.

According to
media reports, the film’s producers, Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt, are reportedly in discussions with Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid about recreating the song. If both parties agree, the song could be recorded outside India, in Dubai.

Reports suggest that even if this collaboration happens, the song will not be included in the theatrical version of the film. Instead ,
plans are being considered to use it for digital and social media promotions.

Will Pakistani singers collaborate despite the ban in India?
Following tensions between India and Pakistan over the past few years, the Indian film industry has been wary of working with Pakistani artists. Pakistani artists have been completely banned in India since the 2016 Uri attack and the 2024 Pahalgam attack. So, will the makers collaborate with Mustafa Zahid on a song for Awarapan 2? It will be interesting to see.

Emraan Hashmi returns after 19 years.
In the recently released trailer for “Awarapan 2,” Emraan Hashmi once again reprises his role as Shivam Pandit. The trailer showcases a tale of action, emotion, and revenge.

The film also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surender Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar in pivotal roles.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, ‘Awarapan 2’ will release in theatres worldwide on August 14, 2026.
