The sixth annual Critics Choice Super Awards honoured the best films and television shows across superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror and action genres. DC's Superman enjoyed a successful outing, with David Corenswet taking home the award for Best Actor in a Superhero Movie, while Milly Alcock won Best Actress in a Superhero Movie for her performance as Kara Zor-El in l. The film itself also secured the Best Superhero Movie trophy, making it one of the biggest winners on the film side.

DC Studios co-chief James Gunn celebrated Superman stars David Corenswet and   after they emerged among the big winners at the 2026 Critics Choice Super Awards. Taking to social media after the winners were announced, Gunn shared a congratulatory message, writing, "Congratulations to @Superman, @corenswet, Milly Alcock, and @thedanieb! You're super to me AND @CriticsChoice!"

Apart from Superman,  Project Hail Mary and The Furious also had a strong showing, with each title winning two awards. Ryan Gosling earned recognition for his lead performance in Project Hail Mary, while Inde Navarrette was honoured for her chilling performance in Obsession. Charlize Theron won for Apex, Emily Blunt was recognised for Disclosure Day, and veteran actor Ralph Fiennes added another accolade to his career with a win for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

On the television front, Prime Video's The Boys and Apple TV+'s Widow's Bay dominated the ceremony with three wins each. Antony Starr continued his winning streak for The Boys, while Widow's Bay saw Matthew Rhys and Kate O'Flynn receive acting honours alongside a series win. Other television winners included Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus, Sterling K. Brown for Paradise and Kaitlin Olson for High Potential.

The ceremony also featured one of its trademark fun categories. Indy, the dog from the horror film Good Boy, received the special "Best Good Boy in a Horror Movie" award, adding a light-hearted moment to the celebration of genre entertainment.

The Critics Choice Super Awards were launched by the Critics Choice Association in 2021 to recognise excellence in popular genre storytelling that is often overlooked during traditional awards season. Unlike the main Critics Choice Awards, the Super Awards focus exclusively on superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror and action films and television series. Over the years, the ceremony has become an important platform for celebrating blockbuster entertainment alongside standout performances from actors and filmmakers working in these genres.
