There is immense enthusiasm surrounding the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana (DLY) launched for the women of Delhi, with a rush to apply and avail of its benefits. So far, over 4.25 lakh women have registered; however, only 149,941 of these have completed the final submission. This means that only about 35 percent of the applications have been deemed fully valid, while the rest remain pending. Three main issues are hindering the final submission process: the requirement to hold an account with a specific bank, the need for a Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) signature on the application form, and the absence of an 'edit' button on the portal.

Many women have reported issues regarding unupdated bank account details in relation to the financial assistance provided under the Lakshmi Yojana. According to information available on the official DLY portal (https://dly.delhi.gov.in/), applicants must hold an active account with one of the specific banks linked to the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) system to receive financial assistance under the scheme. Consequently, applications from many women are not being accepted because they do not hold accounts with the designated banks.

**Signatures from dignitaries prove to be a hassle**
Four documents are mandatory for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Aadhaar card, Voter ID, a photograph, and a support letter from an MLA or MP. Regarding the support letter, one must generate it from the website, get it signed by the local MLA or MP, and then upload it. This process is time-consuming; the sequence of applying, retrieving the support letter, getting it signed, and re-uploading it takes 2 to 3 days.

**No option to correct errors**
There is no 'edit' option on the portal to rectify mistakes made while filling out the form. Additionally, server downtime is making the file upload process extremely difficult. The Delhi government has stated that an edit option will be provided soon.
