Digital Desk, Exposed. A school shooting in Thailand on Friday shocked the entire nation. A ninth-grade student opened fire indiscriminately at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, near the capital, Bangkok. Six people, including three teachers and three students, were killed in the attack, while 15 others were injured. The student then shot himself.

Initial police investigations revealed that before arriving at the school, the suspect had also shot and killed his grandfather and grandmother in his home. The suspect killed eight people in total and himself. Police later recovered the bodies of the two men from their home. The 9mm pistol used in the attack reportedly belonged to his grandfather, a teacher. Police are investigating the incident and trying to determine the motive behind the attack.

According to media reports, as soon as gunfire echoed through the school campus, students and teachers hid in classrooms to save their lives. After some time, police arrived at the scene and searched each room, evacuating the students safely. Following the incident, the entire school campus was in a state of panic, and family members and locals present outside appeared extremely worried. Investigating agencies believe the accused used a weapon licensed in the name of a family member. This incident has once again raised questions about the safety of weapons stored in homes and keeping them out of reach of children.
