Taylor Swift has seemingly made a silent move against the U.S. President Donald Trump.
On Friday, August 7, fans noticed that a Trump campaign TikTok featuring the 36-year-old pop star’s August no longer had the song’s audio available.
For U.S. TikTok users, the video now displays a notice that reads, “The copyright owner hasn’t made this sound available in your country.”
The Team Trump video now appears without Swift’s track, while its caption reads, “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”
The clip features Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, watching fireworks from a balcony, with text over the video reading, “Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.”

Shortly after the 14-time Grammy winner’s quiet move began gaining attention online, fans applauded her for the action and praised her for not allowing Trump’s team to use her music.
“THIS is how you respond. Don’t use words, just silently remove your music from their bs. Don’t give them the satisfaction they wanted. Good on you Taylor,” one user wrote on Instagram.

Swift’s silent move comes just days after Noah Kahan joined a list of celebrities criticising Trump and his administration for using his song American Cars from The Great Divide without his approval.
“Would never approve of my music being used in support of you or this administration,” he responded after fans tagged him in the comments.
