Benjamin Netanyahu Rejects Gaza Peace Plan: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a major statement regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state. He said that this is not possible under his tenure. He stated that he will not back down until Hamas is completely destroyed. Netanyahu’s statement comes as he rejects US President Donald Trump’s 15-point peace plan.

Benjamin Netanyahu said in a cabinet meeting on Sunday that he rejects the 15-point proposal, referring to the plan supported by Hamas last month. The Israeli Prime Minister further stated that his troops will not withdraw until Hamas surrenders its weapons completely. Israeli troops will continue to fight until threats against our citizens end.

Trump is a good friend, but the proposal is unacceptable.

Netanyahu acknowledged that while Trump is a good friend and the US-Israel partnership against Iran has been commendable, he still maintains his stance on this issue. He reiterated that Iran will never be able to acquire a nuclear weapon under his watch.

US Leading the Board of Peace

The US-led Board of Peace is attempting to move forward with its roadmap for the Gaza conflict, which Hamas has accepted. Israeli officials say the terrorist organization is exploiting this process to prevent new Israeli military action. Israel disagrees with the simultaneous withdrawal of its troops and the disarmament process.

While the Security Cabinet has approved the entry of an International Stabilization Force into Gaza to force Hamas to disarm and take control of the area, Israeli officials and ministers have urged PM Netanyahu to openly declare that he will not accept the terms of the plan, which requires the IDF to withdraw from Gaza.

Some conditions of the US proposal are not acceptable

Netanyahu said, “I heard people saying, ‘You didn’t say that.'” So I reiterate: Israel refuses to abide by the 15-point document. The IDF will not withdraw until Hamas’s weapons are eliminated. And when I say that Hamas’s weapons must be eliminated, I mean heavy weapons, small arms, and all types of weapons. I clarify that we are talking about eliminating actual weapons, not imaginary ones.

He says that Israel is discussing its various problems with the US. They have ideas. Some of them we approve of, some we don’t, and we know how to deal with them. We have proven this before, and we are proving this today. Furthermore, the IDF will continue to thwart every plot against our forces and our citizens. Netanyahu also clarified that he will never accept a Palestinian state in Gaza or the West Bank.
