Sambalpur. Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP MP from Sambalpur, Odisha, on Saturday responded for the first time to his resignation as Union Education Minister. Addressing students and teachers at GM University in Sambalpur, Pradhan stated that attempts were made to mislead Gen Z during the protests against the NEET UG paper leak, following which he resigned as Education Minister. Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on July 25th.
Dharmendra Pradhan stated that Gen Z are our children. Some people tried to mislead them. The senior BJP leader and MP stated that at least 20 million children are born in India every year, and 200 million in the last 10 years. These children have their own aspirations and will make India a world leader. Dharmendra Pradhan stated that position was not important to him. The former Union Minister stated that he had met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and offered to resign as Education Minister. It has been two weeks since Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Education Minister. Now, he has addressed the entire incident.
Dharmendra Pradhan served as the Union Education Minister for a long time. During his tenure, significant changes were made to the syllabus. Several chapters in history and social sciences were removed and several new ones were added to the children’s textbooks prepared by NCERT. These changes were made during his tenure as Education Minister to ensure that children could gain a better understanding of their country’s history and culture. Although Dharmendra Pradhan was criticized for the NEET UG exam paper leak, he took strong decisions and successfully conducted the NEET UG exam again. It is believed that the BJP leadership will soon give Dharmendra Pradhan a senior position in the organization. Dharmendra Pradhan has been instrumental in leading the party to victory as the election in-charge for the BJP in several states.
