The last two months have been highly encouraging for the Telugu film industry. Every weekend, theaters have been witnessing strong occupancy, with many evening shows running housefull even on weekdays.
One major reason is the standard affordable ticket prices across AP and Telangana. Except for Ram Charan’s Peddi, most releases have stuck to regular pricing. This worked big time as audiences have preferred this approach, and the recent box office numbers are proof.
Films like Korean Kanakaraju, Chennai Love Story, Lenin, and Maa Inti Bangaram emerged as successful ventures with these ticket rates.
One can clearly see that affordable ticket rates have played a key role in this trend, especially in Andhra Pradesh, where multiplex tickets are priced at around ₹177.
Ever since this has happened, trade experts recommend producers to pay close attention to this trend. When ticket prices remain affordable, moviegoers will surely watch two or three films instead of just one, and this benefits the entire industry.
In the coming days, upcoming films Vishwanath & Sons, Makutam, Agada, and Palalburusu could also gain from this strategy if the current pricing structure continues. Let’s see what happens.
