Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Charcha Gaur, an important meeting was organized with the concerned departmental officers regarding the disposal of cases to the Forest Department in the Collectorate's room on Monday. Officials from Forest Department, Electricity Department, Jal Jeevan Mission, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and other departments were present in the meeting. During the meeting, the District Magistrate, while reviewing various issues to the Forest Department, department-wise and point-wise, said that due to the issues to the Forest Department, the development and public welfare works conducted in the district should not be unnecessarily pending under any circumstances.

He instructed all the concerned departments to establish mutual coordination and ensure timely disposal of the cases on priority basis. It was informed by BSNL officials in the meeting that due to non-resolution of cases to Forest Department, the work of installation of BSNL towers in Bichhi village of three Jorakahu, Kota, Mayorpur blocks of the district is being affected. On this, the District Magistrate directed the Forest Department officials to investigate the cases and ensure their immediate disposal, so that the process of tower installation can be started soon and the telecommunication network in the concerned areas can be further improved.

Instructions to solve the obstacles in electrification of schools on priority-

The Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department informed the District Magistrate regarding the objections and problems to the Forest Department in installing electric poles for power supply and providing power lines to primary schools. The District Magistrate directed the officials of the concerned Forest Department and Electricity Department to give top priority to the issues to electrification of schools and establish necessary coordination and ensure prompt disposal of the obstacles coming in the way in installation of power lines and poles. He said that the availability of basic facilities in schools is one of the priorities of the government, hence such works should not be pending unnecessarily. Instructions to resolve the objection of the Forest Department regarding the work of 11 KV power line of Jal Jeevan Mission.

In the meeting, the problems faced by the Forest Department in drawing the wires of 11 KV power line for power supply under Jal Jeevan Mission (Rural) were also discussed in detail. The District Magistrate directed the officials of the concerned Forest and Electricity Department to jointly inspect the site and make necessary coordination and ensure that action is taken as per the rules, so that the work of laying power lines and pulling wires can be started soon and the projects of Jal Jeevan Mission can be completed in a timely manner.

During the meeting, files to forest rights leases were also reviewed point wise. The status of the proposals sent by various departments to the Forest Department and the objections raised by the Forest Department on them were also reviewed.

The District Magistrate, while directing the Forest Department officials and concerned departmental officers, said that the objections which can be resolved at the district level should be ensured to be resolved within the stipulated time. He said that development work should not be affected due to unnecessary correspondence or pending cases at the departmental level.

He instructed the officers of the concerned departments to prepare a department-wise list of pending cases by continuously coordinating with the Forest Department officers and to ensure action in each case on priority basis. Also asked to submit report of action taken.

The District Magistrate directed that whatever cases are pending with the Forest Department in the development works being conducted in the district, their disposal should be ensured as per rules and in a timely manner, so that the pace of development works is not affected and the priority projects of the government can be completed within the stipulated time.
