According to SP Kunwar Bhushan Singh of Hooghly Rural Police, in the month of June, a student had lodged a complaint with the police that Abhishek Porel had physical relations with her after promising to marry her. The victim alleges that Porel later refused to marry her and beat her up as well as made criminal threats. The student told that she and Porel were in a relationship for the last three years, but last year differences between the two started increasing, after which the cricketer started maintaining distance from her.

Porel denied all the allegations

Porel denied all the allegations against him and said that all these are lies. At the same time, the police officer said that investigation has been started on the basis of the complaint and arrest action was taken after the court order. Let us tell you that Porel is a well-known face of Indian cricket and has also toured England and Australia with the India-A team. He made his first-class debut for Bengal in 2021-22 and has played 32 first-class and 23 List-A matches so far.
