An Instagram and OnlyFans model will spend just two years in prison in 2022 after being found responsible for her boyfriend's death. Courtney Clancy, 30, was charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 27-year-old Christian Obumseli in his luxury apartment in Miami. On Monday (August 10, 2026), government lawyers and his lawyers informed the court of a plea deal, under which Clyne pleaded guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter with a deadly weapon. The court was also told that the state was trying to get Clyne a six-year prison sentence. She has already spent four years in jail awaiting trial. Judge Andrea Ricker Wolfson then sentenced Clyne to six years in prison (including time already served) followed by five years of probation.

After the sentencing, Christian's mother said in the court that the pain is so much that it cannot be expressed in words. Even after 4 years, there are nights when I cannot sleep. I don't want Christian to be remembered only for the manner of his death. Christian was my son, according to everyone who knew him. Bodycam footage of the bloodied model moments after Obumseli was stabbed became a national topic of discussion, as she claimed she had thrown the knife at him out of fear for her life.

The footage shows Obumseli speaking to police as paramedics tried to save her, saying, 'I'm very scared of him' and 'I was very scared.' When she was being handcuffed she said that she was covered in his blood because she was trying to save him. I needed him, he was my other half. Clyne admitted to stabbing Obumseli, but claimed he did not intend to kill her. This was revealed in horrifying bodycam footage recorded by the authorities.
