Fulham have confirmed the signing of Northern Ireland international Shea Charles on a five-year contract.

The 22-year-old arrives from Southampton in a deal reported to be worth an initial £26 million, with a further £6 million possible in add-ons.

Charles first progressed through the Manchester City academy before moving to the Saints in the summer of 2023. Overall, the midfielder spent two seasons with the club, making 76 appearances and scoring six goals – all of them coming last season. He was also sent out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday during the 2024/25 campaign.

“I’m buzzing to finally get it over the line,” Charles said after arriving at Craven Cottage. “The Club has got a really good foundation, from the bottom to the top really.

“It’s a great club, with a really good vision – the Manager explained that to me. To be here is a massive privilege.

“I hope to really kickstart my Premier League career. At such a good club as well, it’s perfect for me, and hopefully perfect for the fans as well.”
