Districts mentioned under the alert include Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura, Kanpur, Bahraich, Balrampur, Ambedkar Nagar, Varanasi, Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Shahjahanpur, Rampur, Unnao, Prayagraj, Deoria and Gorakhpur.

Strong winds may reach around 70-80 kmph in some affected areas, according to the forecast details.

For Lucknow, the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 36°C, while the minimum could be close to 29°C.

Bihar Weather: Rain and Strong Winds Expected

Bihar is also among the states facing unsettled weather. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible across several districts, including Patna, Gaya, West Champaran, East Champaran, Siwan, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Buxar, Saran, Bhojpur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Purnia, Kishanganj, Katihar, Araria, Begusarai and Bhagalpur.

Strong winds could accompany thunderstorms in some areas. Lightning may also pose a risk during intense thunderstorm activity.

Jharkhand Weather: Alert for August 12-13

Jharkhand could witness heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on August 12 and 13.

The alert covers parts of Palamu, Latehar, Gumla, Garhwa, Simdega, Ranchi, West Singhbhum, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Giridih, Sahibganj, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Chatra.

Wind speeds could reach around 70 kmph during strong thunderstorms in some areas.

Ranchi is expected to see temperatures of around 31°C maximum and 24°C minimum.

Uttarakhand Weather: Heavy Rain Raises Landslide Risk

Parts of Uttarakhand may receive heavy rainfall on August 12-13. Areas mentioned in the forecast include Nainital, Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Almora, Bageshwar and Champawat.

Wind gusts may reach around 60 kmph during thunderstorms.

Dehradun could record a maximum temperature of around 33°C and a minimum of about 26°C.

Heavy rainfall in the hills can trigger landslides, falling rocks and temporary road closures. Tourists should check road and local weather conditions before heading into vulnerable mountainous areas.

Himachal Pradesh Weather: Tourists Advised to Stay Alert

Rain and thunderstorms are also expected in parts of Himachal Pradesh, including Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Solan, Bilaspur, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Sirmaur.

Strong winds of around 60-65 kmph could occur in some areas during thunderstorms.

Manali could see a maximum temperature of around 17°C and a minimum of about 12°C.

Travellers should avoid unnecessary journeys on vulnerable hill roads during periods of intense rainfall.

Rajasthan Weather: Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur Among Areas to Watch

Several districts of Rajasthan could also experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, including Bundi, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Kota, Pali, Bikaner, Udaipur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bharatpur.

Some thunderstorms could produce strong wind gusts. Jaipur's temperature is expected to remain around 33°C maximum and 26°C minimum.

Safety Precautions During Heavy Rain

During thunderstorms, avoid standing under isolated trees, electricity poles or weak structures. People in flood-prone locations should stay away from overflowing drains and waterlogged underpasses.

In mountainous regions, avoid unnecessary travel during intense rainfall because landslides and falling debris can block roads with little warning. Farmers should also secure harvested crops and lightweight equipment if strong winds are forecast.
