Former captain of the Indian cricket team and experienced batsman Ajinkya Rahane is now going to start a new innings. The sports channel has officially confirmed that Ajinkya Rahane will make his debut in the commentary box during the two-match Test series to be played on the Sri Lanka tour. The first match of the series will be played in Galle from 15th August. Giving this information, Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sony Network India, said that Rahane is known for his calm nature and deep understanding of the game, which will give the audience an opportunity to understand the nuances of the Test format very closely.
Talking about Ajinkya Rahane's Test career, he has scored 5,077 runs for India in 85 Test matches at an average of 38.46, which includes 12 brilliant centuries and 26 half-centuries. Rahane, who has always played the role of a troubleshooter on foreign pitches, is now going to get the benefit of his cricket experience through broadcasting, about which there is a lot of curiosity among his fans.
