Punjab News: Bhagwant Mann meets Governor, appeals to give 10 days parole to Jagtar Singh Hawara

Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Wednesday. During this, the Chief Minister requested the Governor to intervene in the matter of granting 10 days parole to Jagtar Singh Hawara on humanitarian grounds. The Chief Minister said that in view of the desire of Hawara's old and ailing mother to meet her son, the matter should be considered from a humanitarian perspective.

According to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Jagtar Singh Hawara has been in jail for a long time. His mother is very old and is suffering from age health problems. The Chief Minister said that at present his mother's health is very bad and she is in a semi-conscious state. In such a situation, he wishes to meet his son.

Appeal to the Governor to take a decision soon

The Chief Minister appealed to the Governor and said that in view of the deteriorating health of Hawara's mother, a decision should be taken soon on the parole request. He said that this matter is to human sensitivities and in this the feeling of meeting of an elderly mother and her son should be given priority.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the proceedings of the case are going on in Delhi. In such a situation, the Governor's recommendation is required in the decision to parole. He urged the Governor to consider the matter sympathetically, keeping in mind the humanitarian aspect of the case and the health condition of Hawara's mother.

Government's confidence in law and order

The Chief Minister also assured the Governor that if Jagtar Singh Hawara gets parole for 10 days, the Punjab government will take full responsibility for maintaining law and order. He said that the government will ensure that no untoward situation arises during his parole period.

According to the Chief Minister, Hawara's family and his supporters have also assured full cooperation to the government in maintaining law and order. He said that the Punjab government is committed to maintaining peace and security in the state.

Assurance of cooperation in raising the matter before the Center

Bhagwant Singh Mann assured the Governor that every possible support will be provided by the state government in this matter. He said that if necessary, the state government will extend full cooperation in raising this matter with the central government.

The Chief Minister said that the main objective of the government is to maintain law and order as well as to give due importance to the human aspect. He requested the Governor that in view of the serious health condition of Hawara's mother, the application for parole should be considered soon.

Waiting to meet my son for a long time

The Chief Minister said that Hawara's mother had been hoping to meet her son for a long time. Considering his current health condition, this meeting can be very important for him. Keeping this humanitarian aspect in mind, the Chief Minister has appealed to the Governor to consider the request for granting parole for 10 days.

During this meeting, the Chief Minister also made it clear that in the event of getting parole, the Punjab government will take all necessary steps regarding law and order.
