According to the information, Sandhu has been identified as a senior commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba and president of Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), while Yakub Shaikh has been identified as a member of the Central Advisory Committee of the terrorist organization. In the program, Rashid expressed his loyalty to Hafiz Saeed and said, “I am the slave of Hafiz Saheb.”

What did Sheikh Rashid say in support of Hafiz Saeed?

During the program, Sheikh Rashid praised Hafiz Saeed and expressed his support towards him. He also reportedly mentioned the past contact between him and Saeed. Rashid claimed that when he was in America, Hafiz Saeed’s phone number appeared on his phone screen. According to him, after this incident he was expelled from America. The former minister also spoke on public platform about standing with Saeed and said, “We are with Pakistan, with Hafiz Saeed.”

What did Sheikh Rashid say about India?

Sheikh Rashid also made sharp and provocative remarks about India in the program. He claimed that if India “even looks towards Pakistan”, Allah will destroy it. He further said that neither birds will chirp in India, nor bells will ring in temples and continued making similar statements against India.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has been active in Pakistani politics for a long time. He held the post of Home Minister in the government of the then Prime Minister Imran Khan between 2020 and 2022. Rashid is also the founder and chief of Awami Muslim League. In Pakistani politics, he is known for his outspoken and often controversial statements.
