Government is not listening to the voice of the people, we will drive them crazy: Rahul Gandhi

Tezzbuzz DeskWhile addressing the constructive national convention of Congress, Rahul Gandhi made a sharp attack on the central government. Raising the issue of students' demonstration at Jantar Mantar, he alleged that instead of listening to the voice of the public and students, the government is trying to suppress it.

Rahul Gandhi said that the students wanted to express their views at Jantar Mantar, but they were prevented from doing so. He also mentioned meeting the family of a rape victim from Uttarakhand and said that they have not got justice yet. Rahul alleged that the government is not ready to listen to the problems of the people. He said, “We will drive them crazy.”

Rahul Gandhi also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that PM Modi does not sleep at night and there are many reasons behind this, some of which are hidden.

Targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi called him 'so called Chanakya' and 'Sardar Patel'. He alleged that Amit Shah avoids facing the opposition and the voice of the public in Parliament. Rahul said that the ruling party is hearing the real expression of India for the first time.

'No need to be afraid'

Rahul Gandhi said that if he gets scared of the person giving the orders, he will not be able to express his views openly. He said that many people in the country are behaving like cowards because of fear.

Appealing to the workers to express their views without fear, he said that there is no need to be afraid if there is a 'group of clowns' in front of them. During this he also targeted RSS.

He also said that RSS needs to understand today's India. He said that the country has to be understood not only from the perspective of thousands of years old history, but in the context of present India.

He claimed that RSS has been used politically. Also said that if there is an attempt to suppress RSS, Congress will be ready to protect it.

Attack on Center regarding demonetization and GST

Rahul Gandhi said that RSS was once the strength of small businessmen, but due to demonetization and wrong implementation of GST, small businessmen suffered losses.

He alleged that the increase in corporate influence in RSS started from the era of Pramod Mahajan and this process intensified during the time of Narendra Modi. Rahul claimed that today the old RSS has ended and the organization has become a vehicle for big capital interests.

'Why doesn't the Prime Minister hold a press conference?'

Rahul Gandhi also raised questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi not holding a press conference. He said that earlier he thought it was a marketing strategy, but after spending some time with the Prime Minister, he realized that there could be another reason behind it.

He appealed to the people present at the conference to express their views openly. Rahul said that every person should have the freedom to speak about his religion and faith and can be explained if something goes wrong.

Questions raised on foreign policy also

Referring to an incident from his childhood, Rahul Gandhi also expressed his views on India's foreign policy. He said that the Prime Minister of India goes to another country not just to make friends but to further the interests of the country.

Referring to Iran-US relations, Rahul Gandhi alleged that despite important opportunities for India, Pakistan came into the role of a mediator and the Prime Minister could not stop it.

He also claimed that he gets some information from the Prime Minister's Office. Rahul also raised questions on Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing China of stopping patrolling in Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh.
