Shubman Gill shrugged off a finger injury to score a fluent 44, while Yashasvi Jaiswal made an authoritative 61 as India chased down 207 to beat Sri Lanka Cricket XI in their tour match in Colombo. Gill, who didn't bat in the first innings as a precaution, opened with Jaiswal and the pair put on 105 runs in just 13 overs.

Jaiswal hit nine fours and two sixes before being retired out, while Gill's innings included seven boundaries. Rishabh Pant chipped in with quick runs, and Mohammed Siraj provided a thrilling finish by smashing three consecutive sixes to seal the chase.

Earlier, Prasidh Krishna and Siraj impressed with the new ball, while Ravindra Jadeja broke a threatening partnership. India's spin-bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule confirmed Gill is fully fit and ready for the first Test starting August 15 in Galle. The warm-up gave India valuable middle practice ahead of the crucial series.
